Easter 2010

We had a great time at Brenda's house for Easter. Saturday evening we went over for an egg hunt and Sunday afternoon we had great food and fun. Brenda introduced some smoke bombs, poppers and snakes to the kids. They loved it of course.

Nathan & Emily's room

What a difference a little paint and removing carpet makes. The floors under the carpet in Nathan and Emily's room was beautiful. I would have done it sooner had I known. They love their room. Nathan is very into pirates and Emily into princesses. Here are some before and after pictures.

Monster Icicles

Here are some pictures of the huge icicles that fell from the roof of our house. We were all sure not to stand under them, especially when the weather started warming up.

Kitchen remodel

Together we have really made a a big change in the kitchen. Dave did a great job on the floor. He also did a great job adding the molding to the cabinets. After A LOT of thought and driving Dave crazy on the cabinet color, I finally decided on something and went with it. With Dave being the carpenter and myself being the painter/decorator we now have a beautiful kitchen that we all enjoy. We do still have a few touches that need to be done but for the most part we are finished. On to the next room honey!!!

Snowman

We were all having a ball in the snow, including Shadow. The snow was just right for making a snowman and a snow ball fight. We havn't gotten tired of it yet. Our Christmas penguins got burried in the front yard. I suppose we'll find them in spring.

Snow, snow and more snow

So far we are all still loving the snow. Christmas day, it snowed and was very windy all day. We went to Barb and Matt's house for Christmas and on the way home, we ran in to a few areas that were pretty thick with snow. When we got to our house, we were trying to go down the alley to park in the garage, but we got a little stuck. We got out with no problems although the next day there was so much ice underneath the car that the tires wouldn't roll. As of today, we have 14 inches and it's supposed to get darn cold over the next couple of days. We all have been spending quite a bit of time outside. We're having a ball with the new sleds that the kids got from Larry and Carla for Christmas.
